How do you assess if a governance model is transferable to other contexts?

GGI evaluates transferability by examining institutional, cultural, legal, and political conditions. We focus on identifying principles and structures that can be adapted to new contexts, rather than assuming direct replication will succeed (Halliday & Shaffer 2015; Pevehouse & von Borzyskowski 2017). A key goal is to enrich reform dialogues by providing a diverse set of historical examples.

Note: GGI focuses its analysis on governance innovations in organizations created during or after the UN’s founding in 1945, though earlier examples may occasionally be referenced.
