David Passarelli, Director of UNU-CPR, led the workshop alongside Hanzhi Yu, Tenured Associate Professor at the School of Public Affairs, Zhejiang University. They drew on expert perspectives to deepen understanding of what works in global governance and the diverse ways China addresses global challenges through the international community.
David Passarelli introduced UNU-CPR’s Global Governance Innovation (GGI) Platform as a way to systematically identify and codify “what works” in multilateral institution-building – breaking past innovations into practical building blocks that can support the design of new collaboration platforms across diverse issue areas.
A timely conversation on what it takes to build institutions that actually work in a more fragmented, contested multilateral system.
